I have a law degree, and have been teaching for nine years. I especially like it when a student is able to feel comfortable using Spanish. I love exploring the wonderful restaurants and food stands in San Cristobal. I enjoy yoga and running half marathons.

I was born in Guatemala and am a member of the Mam indigenous group. At the age of four, I was brought to Mexico because of political conflict. Now I am the father of three children who are my source of inspiration in life. I speak Mam (an indigenous language), Spanish, and English. I have lived in the state of Oregon, United States and also in Basel, Switzerland.
I studied sociology at San Cristóbal de las Casas Faculty of Social Sciences. I studied English at the Autonomous University of Chiapas. I founded Tierras Mayas Spanish Language School San Cristóbal de las Casas in 2006. I am currently a Spanish teacher (21 years experience) and curriculum coordinator at Tierras Mayas Spanish Language School.
Finally, I can say that I love doing what I do!

I am 20 years old, currently studying law. I like students who are not afraid to speak Spanish and who enjoy learning more every day. I love teaching Spanish. I am proud to be from San Cristobal, I like that students are interested in the history of this beautiful town. I really enjoy reading and playing sports, especially soccer.
